Glasgow Short Film Festival (GSFF) wishes to recruit new trustees with an interest in film and talent development and would love to hear from you, particularly if you have experience in audience development and/or the Scottish arts or film sectors.

GSFF is committed to equality of opportunity for all and strives to be inclusive and representative while recognising that this is currently not yet reflected on its board. GSFF therefore particularly encourages applications from people with experience of structural disadvantages and from underrepresented backgrounds and communities.

As GSFF is a registered charity the role of trustee is unpaid. The board meets approximately four or five times a year for 1-2 hours at a time. Currently meetings are held online. In the event of an in-person meeting, we will reimburse travel expenses and meet any access needs.

GSFF is the leading event of its kind in Scotland, hosting an inclusive community of filmmakers and film lovers, showcasing ground-breaking works of visual storytelling. We nurture, promote and inspire diverse forms of cinematic expression, in Scotland and around the world. In everything we do, we aim to be critical and curious, welcoming and accessible.

Glasgow Short Film Festival was formed in 2008, initially as a project of Glasgow Film Theatre, and became an independent Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in August 2019 (Charity Register No. SCO49556). We are currently run by a board of six trustees, a non-voting company secretary, one permanent staff member (who is also a trustee) and a seasonal team of short contract staff and freelancers.?Read more.
