The 18th edition of Glasgow Short Film Festival will take place 19-23 March 2025. GSFF competitions are comprised of submitted films, and other elements of the festival programme also draw from submissions. More information on our competitions, and the films screened in 2024, can be found on the Programme page. Our programming team eagerly trawls through thousands of submissions each year to showcase the most exciting work from around the world.
The call for entries for the 2025 edition is now closed. Submissions for the 2026 edition will open in June 2025, and any film under 40 mins completed after 30 September 2024 is eligible.
Glasgow Short Film Festival is a BAFTA-qualifying event. All British films screened at GSFF automatically become eligible for BAFTA Short Film or Short Animation Award consideration, as long as they meet other eligibility criteria.
