GSFF accepts works up to 50 minutes in length.

This year GSFF will accept works completed up to two years before the festival. That means we will accept works completed after 31 March 2019.

GSFF has no premiere status rule, and accepts works that are available online.

A film is considered eligible for the Scottish competition if at least two of the following key positions - director, writer, producer - are filled by people resident in Scotland.

Non-English language films must be subtitled in English.

We accept submissions of works in progress - check the FAQs.

We do not consider films that have been previously submitted to GSFF and declined. Please check your records before submitting, as we will not refund the submission fee of a film that has previously been submitted.
