Glasgow Short Film Festival is the foremost annual showcase of new Scottish short film, and a highly respected showcase of new international work.
Industry delegates have access to all public screenings and events (subject to availability), delegate-only industry screenings and events, and the online video library for one month following the festival.

Little Pictures Showcase

Two industry showcase screenings of the latest works from Little Pictures, a micro-budget commissioning scheme that nurtures new talent to make their first funded short film.


Sharp Shorts Showcase

A two part industry showcase of the final films produced through Short Circuit’s Sharp Shorts talent scheme.
NFTS Presents: Sean Connery Talent Lab
11:00-12:30, Friday 21 March, Civic House, passholders only
Participants of the Sean Connery Talent Lab will present their projects and talk about the year-long experience. You will have the opportunity to put your questions to them and to the programme’s Head, producer Chris Young.

Artist Workshop: Cross Border Pirate Television in Ireland

Frank Sweeney (Few Can See) presents a workshop on the history of analogue television signals spilling across the borders of Ireland and Britain, reflecting on the community pirate television networks which emerged in response.
Public EventRoundtable: Palestine on Film
11:45-13:15, Saturday 22 March, Civic House
A conversation in two parts, presented in partnership with Talking Shorts, first introducing the work of the Gaza Film Unit, then looking at the creative practices of contemporary Palestinian filmmakers, reclaiming the Palestinian narrative as an act of resistance against colonial erasure.
Public Event
Passholders should log into their festival account to book for all screenings and passholder-only events, from midday on Monday 17 March. The two free public events above are available for booking now.
Who can apply for festival accreditation?
- Industry delegates: anyone working in a professional capacity in film production, distribution or exhibition may apply for an industry pass
- Press delegates: anyone currently reporting on and/or reviewing film in a professional capacity may apply for a press pass
- Selected filmmakers: we offer limited passes to filmmakers whose work is showing in the festival. Filmmakers will be contacted directly
- Students: Anyone currently studying any aspect of film and in possession of a valid student ID may apply for a student pass.
