Volunteer at GSFF24!

Each year we rely on a team of wonderful volunteers to help make the festival happen. We are looking for friendly, outgoing people with a passion for all things film and fun to contribute to the smooth running of screenings and events. If you want to be a part of the festival experience with other film lovers and professionals, then we’d encourage you to apply and join us in March (20 – 24).

Who We Are

Glasgow Short Film Festival, the largest competitive short film festival in Scotland, champions new film talent by providing an annual showcase and meeting point for new and established Scottish and international filmmakers, industry delegates and the local audience.

Our programme celebrates diverse forms of cinematic expression, whether fiction, documentary, animation or artists’ moving image, and foregrounds disruptive, ground-breaking work that transgresses the boundaries of conventional narrative film.

We are a friendly, accessible, busy festival, with five packed days full of screenings and events, and our volunteers are essential in keeping the machine well oiled, and in creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere that make our festival memorable for all our guests.

What Our Previous Volunteers Have to Say

“Volunteering with GSFF was a great experience that I will be repeating this year. It’s a small team and you really feel like you’re part of the festival. The shifts are enjoyable and you get to see a lot of amazing short movies, which are hard to come by. Everyone at GSFF has been lovely, and hanging out and discussing the short films that we’ve seen has made the festival even more enjoyable.”
