The Scottish competition at GSFF honours inspiration and innovation in new Scottish cinema, and is judged by an international jury of filmmakers and curators. Viewers have the opportunity to choose their favourite to win the Audience Award. 

This programme trembles with a highly charged atmosphere – something is about to erupt. In some of these films it’s tangible, in some it’s invisible, but who knows what will bring it to the surface…  

There will be a live Q&A with some of the directors featured in this programme on Saturday 27 March at 19.15.
