The Scottish competition at GSFF honours inspiration and innovation in new Scottish cinema, and is judged by an international jury of filmmakers and curators. Viewers have the opportunity to choose their favourite to win the Audience Award.

How to navigate a world that at best doesn’t accommodate you and at worst treats you with hostility? These films’ protagonists are trying to get by and find their place, often against the odds.

There will be a live Q&A with some of the directors featured in this programme on Thursday 25 March at 19.15.
