Opening with a magic door that invites us into a world of giant monsters and runaway trains, Glasgow Short Film Festival takes us on a trip into wind-blasted mountains, under ground and sea and even into space. Make friends with a rock creature, meet the Burry Man who summons Spring or take a parachute leap with a father and son flying team. But whatever you do, don't get into an argument unless you want to blow up like a balloon. This ever-popular animation programme, suitable for all ages, includes the multi-award-winning and Oscar-nominated Ice Merchants by João Gonzalez.

The screening will be followed by a free drop-in animation workshop suitable for all ages, upstairs at Civic House. Design your own character and backgrounds and learn how to animate them using simple stop frame animation. Or create a full body digital-3D model of yourself! Walk away with your own 3D digital avatar keepsake, and get placed in the virtual GSFF-a-verse to live on forever…

All films captioned for d/Deaf viewers.
