Blueprint seeks to encourage the production and reception of grassroots film culture by providing a regular world class exhibition space. Short independent film is a legitimate part of film culture. Blueprint also promotes collaborative theories of film production and explores film across all its creative departments.

Blueprint will endeavour to curate eclectic programmes of films with aesthetic and cultural significance. All genres are welcome and films that challenge, innovate and strive to engage with cinematic forms and the means of cultural production are encouraged.

Blueprint curator Hans Lucas is an avid cinephile who studied film history under celebrated critic Raymond Durgnat. He is an Assistant Director, Producer and Editor of independent feature films, shorts and eye-catching micro-budget music promos. He has extensive experience in post production support for broadcast documentary television, often works with the third sector and writes film criticism for Scotland's online arts and culture magazine TV Bomb.
